Joba Chamberlain Leads the World in Freakish Injuries

New York Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain continued his snake-bitten existence last night in the Bronx. The hurler was struck in the elbow by a shard from Matt Wieters bat during the 12th inning of an eventual 2-1 loss.

Chamberlain’s elbow immediately swelled up to the size of Andre the Giant’s head, causing him to leave the game.

Does anyone have worse luck than this guy? Who else has been subjected to a biblical insect plague, a vomit-inducing trampoline injury and lying daggers of death seeking out their flesh?
